Evidence That the Cycle of
the Chronic Relapser Can Be Broken:
Burning Tree Sets Their
6th Annual Alumni Reunion for July 5th, 2008
Burning Tree provides long term, residential drug and
alcohol treatment and offers a relapse prevention curriculum
to adults.
Kaufman, TX (PRWEB)
April 19, 2008 -- In honor of those once considered the
walking dead by family and friends, Burning Tree invites all
alumni and their families back "home" to the 6th annual
alumni reunion, set for Saturday, July 5th, beginning at
2:00 pm at the Burning Tree Ranch facility located in
Kaufman, Texas.
States David Elliott, Burning Tree's founder, "The event
symbolizes their winning battle against addictions and
freedom to move on to enjoy lives of excellence. The best
part of the event, for me, is when the alumni share their
experience, strength and hope; they carry an inspiring
message of how the odds were stacked against them but they
persevered to find the truth that set them free."
The rustic cattle ranch is the perfect backdrop for the
event, which boasts of fellowship, fun, food and fireworks
for the entire family.
"Burning Tree is a long-term, residential facility, so we
spent a lot of time here and revealed our very souls,"
reports Bethany Lutz, Burning Tree alum and director of
admissions for Burning Tree. "The alumni, including myself,
get excited to reunite with peers and staff, with whom we've
shared both laughter and tears. We get to celebrate the gift
of recovery and be honored for the ongoing service work we
do for Burning Tree clients and in our communities."
Burning Tree alumni are evidence that the cycle of the
chronic relapser can be broken. If you are a Burning Tree

Burning Tree
Programs Adds Neurofeedback Therapy to Our Relapse Prevention
Curriculum!
Burning Tree Programs provides long term residential drug
and alcohol treatment and offers a relapse prevention curriculum
to adults.
Kaufman, TX (PRWEB)
May 16, 2007 -- Burning Tree Programs is excited to begin
treating our clients with Neurofeedback Therapy in 2007.
Neurofeedback Therapy results in very low relapse rates when
combined with conventional treatments. This is, in part, due to
the fact that it seems to function as a "mental antabuse." There
have been several studies showing that Neurofeedback training
appears to have potential for decreasing alcohol/drug craving
and aids in relapse prevention.
Many practitioners in the chemical dependency field have
demonstrated that intensive Neurofeedback-based treatment has
exerted a positive influence on a number of factors which
contribute to chemical dependency including stress levels,
depressive personality traits, post traumatic stress disorder
and chronic relapses.
Additionally, studies have shown that Neurofeedback training
can increase the retention of clients in alcohol/drug treatment
programs while decreasing the relapse rate whereas traditional
interventions for chemical dependency often result in high
attrition and release rates.
Neurofeedback Therapy will be provided to our clients by
Mindy Fritz, MS. "I am very excited about the opportunity this
innovative treatment will provide for our clients and feel that
it will add to their success in overcoming addiction," states
Fritz.
